Account Management
Manage your PrivyNet account with ease. Update your profile, adjust security settings, review billing details, and manage your VPN infrastructure - all from one secure dashboard.
Profile Settings
Manage your personal information and account preferences
Log in to your account and navigate to Settings > Profile. From there, you can update your display name, contact information, and other profile details. Click "Save Changes" when you're done.
Go to Settings > Account and click "Change Email". Enter your new email address and confirm it. You'll receive a verification email to your new address that you must confirm before the change takes effect.
Your username is your email address and serves as your unique identifier. To change it, you'll need to update your email address through Settings > Account.
Navigate to Settings > Profile and click on the profile picture area. You can upload a JPG or PNG image up to 5MB in size.
Security
Keep your account secure with password and authentication settings
Go to Settings > Security and click "Change Password". Enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password. Use a strong password with at least 8 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link valid for 24 hours. Follow the link to create a new password.
Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security. Go to Settings > Security and click "Enable 2FA". Follow the instructions to set up authentication using an app like Google Authenticator or Authy.
Navigate to Settings > Security > Login History to see a list of recent login attempts, including dates, times, and IP addresses. If you see suspicious activity, change your password immediately.
Billing & Invoices
View your invoices and manage billing preferences
Go to your Dashboard or navigate to the Invoices section to view all current and past invoices, including their status and amounts.
Billing is consumption-based. Your VPN usage is tracked and invoices are generated automatically when your spending reaches a billing threshold, or on the 1st of each month if your balance exceeds £10.
If an invoice becomes overdue, your account will be temporarily deactivated and your VPN connection suspended. Once the outstanding invoice is paid, your account and VPN access will be restored.
Navigate to Settings > Billing > Payment Methods. You can add a new card, remove old cards, or set a default payment method for future invoices.
Notifications
Configure email and in-app notification preferences
Go to Settings > Notifications to control which emails you receive. You can toggle notifications for billing, security alerts, product updates, and promotional emails.
Click the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email, or go to Settings > Notifications and disable "Marketing & Promotions".
Yes, critical account notifications like password changes, billing issues, and security alerts cannot be disabled to ensure you stay informed about important account activity.
