Pricing FAQs

Get answers to common questions

How does consumption-based pricing work?

You only pay for the time your dedicated VPN instance is running. Pricing ranges from £0.04 per hour depending on your instance specifications and resources. Usage costs are tracked automatically and you'll receive an invoice for the total amount. Simple, transparent, and fair.

How does invoicing work?

All billing is handled through invoices. Your usage costs are tracked and once your spending reaches a billing threshold, an invoice is automatically generated via Stripe. After your first invoice is paid, subsequent invoices are issued either when your threshold is reached or on the 1st of each month if your balance exceeds £5.

Are there any usage limits?

Dedicated VPN instances on hourly billing have no bandwidth limits - you pay only for the hours the server is running, regardless of how much data you transfer.

How is running time measured?

Running time is measured from the moment you start your dedicated VPN instance until you stop it. We track time in hourly increments. You can view your current running time and estimated charges in real-time through your dashboard.

What is the billing threshold?

Your billing threshold determines when an invoice is generated. It starts at £5 and increases to £10 after your first payment, then goes up in £10 increments each time you pay an invoice, up to a maximum of £100. This means as you build a payment history, you'll be invoiced less frequently.

When am I invoiced?

Your first invoice is generated when your usage reaches the billing threshold. After that, invoices are issued either when your threshold is reached again or automatically on the 1st of each month if your outstanding balance exceeds £5. You can view your usage and invoices anytime in your account dashboard.

Is there a minimum charge?

Yes, the minimum charge is £0.04 per hour for basic dedicated VPN instances. Pricing varies from £0.04 per hour based on instance specifications. If you run your instance for even a few minutes, you'll be charged for the full hour. This ensures fair and transparent pricing.

What happens if I don't pay an invoice?

If an invoice becomes overdue, your account will be temporarily deactivated and your VPN connection will be suspended until payment is received. Once the outstanding invoice is paid, your account and VPN access will be restored.

What happens if I stop my VPN instance?

You are billed for the time the VPN instance is actively running, along with any ongoing costs for retained resources. You may start and stop your instance as needed to manage compute usage, and all applicable charges will be reflected on your next invoice.

What happens if I delete my VPN instance?

Once your VPN instance is deleted and fully deprovisioned, all associated resources are released and billing for the instance, including IP address and storage costs, stops completely. Any charges incurred prior to deletion will appear on your next invoice.
